The Silent Hill announcements came thick and fast during Konami’s stream, with Silent Hill F teased by the publisher and developer Neoboards Entertainment – best known for developing Resident Evil Resistance and the upcoming RE:Verse multiplayer games.

Silent Hill F will tell a brand new story in a new setting for the series. The game is set in 1960s Japan with a gorgeous countryside village. The story has been written by Ryūkishi07, who’s renowned for visual novels dealing with murder mysteries, psychological and supernatural horror.

Elsewhere in the Silent Hill Transmission, it’s clear that Konami has big plans to revive the once groundbreaking horror game franchise. Silent Hill 2 is being remade by Bloober Team, putting a modernising spin on the classic title, while there’s also several new games being developed in the brand. No Code and Annapurna Interactive announced Silent Hill: Townfall, and there’s Silent Hill Ascension, an interactive streaming series that will debut in July 2023.
