Elden Ring is getting a big bit of free content on December 7th through the Colosseum update. Those familiar with Elden Ring will know of the Colosseums that sit in Limgrave, Leyndell and Caelid, with many having tried to gain entry to them. Now, their doors will open and give players the option to take part in additional PvP content.
The Elden Ring Colosseum update will add duels, free-for-alls and team fights, all of which you can see a bit of in the trailer. The update will come as part of patch 1.08 which has not been detailed just yet. The last update released was update 1.07.1, and you can read the notes below.
- Ash of War – Endure –Shortened effect duration. Adjustments made in patch 1.07 had a greater impact on the game balance than expected.
- Incantation – Inescapable Frenzy – Fixed a bug where the FP consumption was not properly reduced in patch 1.07.
Elden Ring Review
In our Elden Ring review, Jason wrote, “Elden Ring is the kind of game that doesn’t come around very often. It’s the kind of game that other games are going to try and emulate in the next few years, and if it leads to a new group of open-world games that follow along with the likes of Dragon’s Dogma, games that trust the player and their curiosity enough not to throw question marks at them on a map, then it’s going to be looked at as a turning point in the games industry. That’s probably a little hyperbolic, but hey, I’ll be playing this game for the next few years, so I’m standing by it. Elden Ring is the game Souls fans have been waiting for. From the open world design, to riding into battle on Torrent’s back, and the dark narrative woven through the world, this is a clear Game of the Year frontrunner that will have us all ensnared for a long time to come.”
