With less than a month to go, Frontier and KeokeN Interactive have released a new ‘Countdown to Launch’ story trailer for Deliver Us Mars. The game will be out across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One and PC on 2nd February.
The sequel to Deliver Us The Moon and set ten year later, Deliver Us Mars follows the next manned space mission to try and save Earth from the ravages of climate change. Kathy Johanson is a part of the team heading to Mars to retrieve the ARKs that contain terraforming technology that could potentially stall the difficulties facing Earth. However, she’s also going there on the trail of her father, Isaac, who went with the duplicitous private enterprise that stole the ARKs and established a colony on Mars many years previously.
The trailer sets out a lot of this backstory, with snippets of gameplay that show Kathy solving puzzles and navigating the red planet’s inhospitable surface, including the new gameplay mechanic of pickaxe climbing up cliff faces.
