As we embark on that final stretch, Avalanche and Warner Bros. have been sharing technical details for their first (and potentially biggest) game release of 2023. Earlier this week, they revealed the Hogwarts Legacy PC specs, which suggests that the install size could be around 85GB.

For those playing on console, we now have an update on what graphics modes will be included thanks to the game’s official support page:

What graphics modes are available for Hogwarts Legacy on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S?

The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S console versions of Hogwarts Legacy support multiple graphical modes of play, the most common of which are Fidelity mode which targets 30 fps, and Performance mode which targets 60 fps.

Is Variable Refresh Rate Supported?

Graphical modes for players who have Variable Refresh Rate (VRR)-supported TVs or monitors are supported for Hogwarts Legacy on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The game is set in the 1800s and players take on the role of a student at Hogwarts. The game features an ancient form of magic that has the potential to change the future of the Wizarding World.

If you’ve yet to pull the trigger on next gen hardware, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch versions will be arriving later in the year.

Avalanche Software is developing the game, however, it has faced several challenges. Warner Bros. has had to navigate ongoing backlash from JK Rowling’s transphobic comments which caused many fans to reconsider their support for the franchise. Additionally, the game’s development has been complicated by the fallout of the COVID pandemic, which has greatly affected the wider gaming industry.

Rumoured for years prior to its reveal in 2020, Hogwarts Legacy was initially expected to be released in 2021, but was later delayed. A holiday 2022 release date then was announced, before being pushed back to February 10, 2023.
