During last year’s Game Awards, Blizzard set a Diablo 4 release date for June 6, 2023. The announcement was made with a stunning cinematic trailer that saw the forces of good and evil clash with a couple of welcome cameos.

Following the reveal, Blizzard developers have released a deep dive into the Diablo 4 release date trailer. Game Directors, Joe Shely and Joseph Piepora, join Community Lead, Adam Fletcher, for a deep dive that gives fans more details on the setting, story, and characters who will appear in Blizzard’s long-awaited sequel.

It’s been over a decade since the launch of Diablo 3 and in that time there have been a number of dungeon crawling contenders from fan favourite, Path of Exile, to recent games like Undecember and Torchlight: Infinite. In 2021, we even got a full-on Diablo 2 remake while patiently waiting for Blizzard’s sequel.

Diablo 4 Overview

Diablo 4 is the next-gen action RPG experience with endless evil to slaughter, countless abilities to master, nightmarish Dungeons, and legendary loot. Embark on the campaign solo or with friends, meeting memorable characters through beautifully dark settings and a gripping story, or go rogue through an expansive End Game and shared world where players will meet in towns to trade, team up to battle World Bosses, or descend into PVP zones to test their skills against other players – no lobbies necessary – with cross-play and cross-progression on all available platforms.
