Sony have dropped one of their famous live action promotional videos which bring together characters from PlayStation exclusives and properties. While the games are not named it’s very clear what they are with God of War: Ragnarok, Destiny 2, Gran Turismo, Horizon, Returnal, Spider-Man, Stray, and many others getting a brief moment in the spotlight.

So there we go, loads of big name PlayStation games, but who is that mysterious young girl holding a torch, in a dark cave, examining what appears to be treasure?
Who’s that girl?
You can also see another shot of her later on and she’s clearly very interested in the treasure box.
So who is this girl? Lara Croft isn’t exclusive and it’s certainly not Ellie from the Last of Us, and she wouldn’t be treasure hunting anyway. Despite using a flaming torch she’s got a backpack so clearly a modern character, and she’s also got a scarf which is very similar to one worn by a famous PlayStation treasure hunter.
You may also remember that Uncharted 4 ends with an epilogue in which Nate’s daughter, Cassie, finds a cabinet filled with treasures from his adventures leading to her parents telling her tales of their exploits. It is heavily implied that Cassie will be off on treasure hunting adventures herself.
If Uncharted 5 is on the way, and there have been rumours for quite a while, it will not be created by Naughty Dog as they have explicitly stated they are “done” with Uncharted.
However, I can spot one tiny flaw in these fan theories. At the 46 second mark there is a shot from The Callisto Protocol, and that is not a PlayStation exclusive or, as with case with Destiny 2, owner by Sony. It’s the only game in the advert that is not a Sony property but that does mean there is a chance the girl could be young Lara Croft. That would make sense for Amazon who have multiple Tomb Raider projects in the pipeline, a young actor means she can play the character for a good while and Amazon do like “young adult” series.
But hey, could still be Cassie. Finger crossed!
