Microsoft and everyone’s favourite megalomaniac, Elon Musk,  are having a a few issues. Microsoft say they “have had to disable the ability to share game uploads to Twitter directly from the console and Game Bar on Windows.”

No specific reason has been given but it may have something to do with the fact that Microsoft have dropped Twitter from their advertising platform.

  • Starting on April 25, 2023, Smart Campaigns with Multi-platform will no longer support Twitter.
  • As of April 25, 2023, you’ll be unable to:
    • Access your Twitter account through our social management tool
    • Create and manage drafts or Tweets
    • View past Tweets and engagement
    • Schedule Tweets

In response to this, Musk has tweeted he will taking legal action against Microsoft.

In related news, Xbox and Nintendo seemed to have forked out the money and paid for their Gold verified status on Twitter, but PlayStation have not. To get the gold tick a company must “purchases a subscription to Verified Organizations” on Twitter for $1,000 per month.
