Gran Turismo update 1.34, also known as the May update, is releasing on May 25th, Polyphony Digital has confirmed. The new update will add three more cars to the game including the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce ’67, the Greening Auto Company Maverick, and the Nissan GT-R NISMO (R32) ’90.
The Gran Turismo 7 update 1.34 will also add two more menus to the Cafe. These are the SEMA Gran Turismo Award collection, which showcases winners of the named award. The other collection is called Group A, and showcases international touring cars from the Group A regulations. Those who reach collector level 50 will be able to use the engine swap feature in GT Auto, allowing players to switch out engines and replace them for eligible vehicles. An ultimate category is being added to the tuning shop, adding rare parts and more tuning options. Tokyo’s National Stadium and The Lake District are being added as the featured curated locations in Spaces.

Earlier this month, the first trailer for the Gran Turismo movie was released. Directed by Neill Blomkamp (best known for his sci-fi action film District 9), and with a screenplay by Jason Hall and Zach Baylin, the Gran Turismo movie takes inspiration from the GT Academy programme that sought to take the fastest Gran Turismo players and try to transfer their skills in the digital realm to the real world of motorsports.
