Star Wars Jedi 3 confirmed by it’s star, Cameron Monaghan

Cameron Monaghan, voice actor for Cal Kestis in the Star Wars Jedi games, has said that a third title in the series is being worked on. He was being interviewed at Ocala Comic Con as part of a panel that also included Tina Inlev, voice of Nightsister Merrin, and stated that the development team are “currently in the process” of making the third title.

You can see the interview below, the reveal for Star Wars Jedi 3 begins around 42m 40s mark.

We gave the second title in the series 8/10 in our review. “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a great continuation of Cal Kestis’ journey,” said Aran. “The story is a little predictable and platforming could be sharper, but this is a sequel that builds on the ideas of the original and there’s real enjoyment to be had in exploring the expansive new worlds, digging into the lore and running into secret boss fights.”

Having originally launched solely for more modern PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC systems, EA has announced that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is going to be ported back to the older consoles.

The question mark is when EA is going to make this happen. The port back to the last generation was confirmed by EA CEO Andrew Wilson during the company’s Q1 earnings call, but he didn’t get a timeline. He simply said that, “Thanks to the strength of this legendary franchise and community demand, our development team has committed to bringing this Jedi experience to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.”

While Jedi: Fallen Order had generally good performance on PS4 and Xbox One, it wasn’t without issues, most significantly with game hitches and stutters for what should be background loads – the base PS4 and Xbox One were more heavily affected than the more powerful PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, and Respawn did release updates to try and help with this.
