Publisher Firenut Games has announced its upcoming PS5 exclusive horror game titled Shines Over: The Damned. There’s no confirmed release date yet though we can expect this one to launch some time in Spring 2024 according to the announcement. You can check out the first trailer below.

With a canine companion at your side, you’ll navigate a series strange and haunting environments in Shines Over: The Damned, avoiding traps and solving puzzles. The trailer doesn’t give much away in terms of story or characters, setting the scene with some creepy visuals and cryptic messages.

The PS5 continues to be a great platform for horror games, from reinvented classics to smaller indies. Last year we witnessed the return of Resident Evil 4 and Dead Space, both revamped for modern gamers with greatly enhanced visuals and quality of life improvements. Joining them in the near future will be Konami and Bloober Team’s upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake which recently got a combat focused trailer during the latest PlayStation State of Play broadcast.
