The year long roadmap for city builder Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles has been released by Tomas Sala, confirming what players can expect to see coming to the Ursee. The roadmap includes a number of updates and additions that will keep content in Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles fresh for those who engage with it.
The first update is the Trade, Tribute and Spoils Update, which will add three new captains to recruit and three diplomacy events that can change the power balance of the Ursee. Plunder will also be dotted around the Ursee and can be claimed provided you are up for a fight. Plunder will fall from foes and destroyed ships. The spoils vary and can be used for different functions including creating more extractors, repairing the fleet, or make your faction stronger. This update is expected this month.
In May, the Naval Command update will be released. This update will a naval task force, three new naval events, and four new carrier ships. Future additions haven’t been given release dates or much detail, but they are as follows. New architecture will be added to Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles, and what appears to be an event or person called Mad Lector. A new faction is also going to arrive in the Ursee, and mod support will also follow. This is all on top of bug and optimisation fixes.
Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles Review
In our Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles review, I wrote, “Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles is an approachable take on the city builder for players of many skill levels. It encourages experimentation with your settlement layout and exploration in the Ursee, but some design decisions don’t feel as smooth as they could be, like selecting buildings or interacting with other factions. If you are a city builder fan you can sink hours into this, but do not expect it to have the same depth as others in the genre.”
