PSVR 2 price cut by a whopping $200/£180 for a limited time

If you wanted to grab a PlayStation VR 2 ahead the launch of PC support then now is the time do so as the price has been slashed from $549.99 to  $349.99, and the Horizon: Call of the Mountain bundle has had a similar $200 price cut down to  $399.99.

Stores across the US should have the deal including Amazon, Best Buy and Target, and it is also PlayStation Direct.

Over in the UK the official PlayStation Direct store still has the headset at full price but GAME, ArgosArgos,  and Currys have the device for £349  while EE have it  priced  at  £339 but  have already sold out.

All the deals only run until August 6th and are selling out fast so if you want to grab one then we suggest you get your skates on. Upcoming PSVR 2 games include Aces of Thunder, Alien: Rogue Incursion, and Zombie Army.

Sony has confirmed that the PSVR 2 PC adapter will be able to buy it from August 7th. The PSVR 2 PC adapter will allow those who own the headset to tap into the library of VR games on PC through SteamVR. The adapter will cost  $59.99 / €59.99 / £49.99.

There is a catch as not all of the PSVR 2 features will work on PC. HDR, headset feedback, eye tracking, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback (except rumble) will not work when using the headset to play games on PC. The PSVR 2 features that will function on PC are 4K visuals (2000 x 2040 per eye), 110-degree field of view, finger touch detection, see-through view, foveated rendering, and 3D audio where supported. The minimum specs that you will need to operate the PSVR 2 on PC are listed below.

  1. I’m tempted but i know i’d probably only use it for NMS.

  2. I’d have jumped on this if I had the money already saved.

Pity but can’t just drop that on short notice. I loved the PS4 VR headset but realistically it’s not something you use regularly
