What We Played – Life is Strange: Reunion, The Division: Resurgence & Legacy of Kain: Ascendance

Of all the Fridays of the year, this one being a bank holiday makes it better than most, regardless of religious significance. Are you going to get any extra gaming in today? Or do you have other plans for today and the extra extra long weekend ahead?

But this is all about the week just gone, and I’ve found myself sinking into the looter shooting of The Division: Resurgence. It’s not the most amazing experience (outside of the continuing marvel of this scale of game being on mobile and tablet), but it’s definitely drawn me back into the genre. Maybe I’ll give the full fat Division 2 another chance once I’ve wrapped up our reviewing this.

As for the rest of the gang, Ade finished and thoroughly enjoyed his time playing South of Midnight for a PS5 review – “Fingers crossed the game does the business on Playstation and Switch and we get a sequel,” he says.

While he’s started a new save in Football Manager 26 as the boss of Zaragoza, Aran’s back at Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth after taking a bit of a break from the game. – “I’ve just unlocked Dondoko Island which is essentially Animal Crossing with the idea of turning an old rundown island into a 5 star resort.”

And we can maybe expect a Life is Strange: Reunion review this weekend, as Tuffcub’s on the case for our review. He’s definitely going to be using this weekend for some alone time playing games… for fun!

Gamoc’s played Icarus and Ghost Master for review, and has ripped himself away from Crimson Desert “or I wont get anything else done.” That something else? Well, it’s Resident Evil Requiem this weekend. Nic’s also been playing a bunch of Resi Requiem, currently doing an Insanity run with infinite ammo.

Steve enjoyed the side-scrolling pseudo-retro action of Legacy of Kain: Ascendance more than many reviewers, sneaking back into Breath of Fire III for a little more progress, and has started to play Blue Prince with his 14-year-old.

And we’ll round things out this week with Reuben, who’s continued playing Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream for our review – see his preview from last week here – but has otherwise been playing Disney Speedstorm and started on Killer is Dead from his years-deep backlog.

Now then, what have you been playing?
