You’ve probably heard of a baked bean, a runner bean, or a kidney bean. But have you heard of Killer Bean (who is also a coffee bean)? If you had watched the Summer Game Fest showcase from 2024 then you may remember the action packed trailer of Killer Bean, which showed the titular character going up against the Shadow Agency, his former employers. Soon, you will be able to shoot, drive, and dive into Killer Bean as it will launch on June 8th into Steam Early Access.
In the announcement post developer Killer Bean Studios said, “A big thank you to the Killer Bean Steam Community, especially the 6200+ players who helped me play test the game over 2 years. I definitely wouldn’t have found all those bugs on my own. You also found creative ways to break the game that defied imagination!
The studio has also confirmed that the early access price for Killer Bean will be $14.99, and there will be a launch discount too. The price will rise as more content is added through the early access phase which is expected to last two years, with major content updates every two months. To start with the Killer Bean early access will include the full single player campaign, battle arena, Dance Party mode where you take down parties, conquest mode, procedurally generated islands, and four factions. The full release will include co-op game modes, Jet Bean as a playable character, and more missions and bosses so that the campaigns can be randomised, allowing players to experience different stories when starting new campaign runs.
