SpaceCraft early access release has been pushed back a few weeks

Last month, Shiro Games announced that the SpaceCraft Early Access release date was set for May 20th, but a week out from that date comes news of a delay. Today, Shiro Games has confirmed that SpaceCraft will not be ready to launch into early access on May 20th, with the new date now being June 11th. The reasons being are for additional polish and to integrate the final translations before players get their hands on SpaceCraft. However, it is not all bad as a Beta will run from May 20th instead.

In a post, Shiro Games wrote, “Today we’re making the difficult decision to delay the Early Access release of SpaceCraft to June 11th in order to ensure a better gameplay experience for all at launch. These additional weeks will allow us to fully integrate the remaining translations and give us more time to further improve the overall quality and polish of SpaceCraft. To make the wait a little easier, we’re revealing an overview of the launch content earlier than planned, giving you a clearer look at the scale of the adventure awaiting you on day one.”

That launch content for SpaceCraft includes a persistent, shared galaxy with 20 sectors containing hundreds of star systems and thousands of planets, seamless travel from space to planetside, asteroid fields, restricted areas, and diverse biomes. You will be able to work with other players to build large scale production and operations networks, with bases that can be built on planets with automated workflows. In turn, you can join or create Corporations that will compete with each other. Players will be able to build their own ships that can be upgraded for better performance, mine and gather resources across the galaxy, and take part in a player driven economy. There are different routes of progression too, so you can specialise in technology, exploration, or science.

Shiro Games is expected SpaceCraft’s early access to last around six months before entering its full release, with the price expected to increase as more content gets added. The full release of SpaceCraft will have more content in the galaxy, a bigger variety of planets, new sectors, new ways to explore, and more social options for Corporations.
