Kemuri has been revealed by Unseen, the studio of former Tango Gameworks creative director Ikumi Nakamura – you know, the fun one who announced Ghostwire Tokyo.

Kemuri is a Yokai-hunting action game set in Kemuri City. It’s a chaotic world inspired by Asian cities, but “where there’s smoke, there’s Yokai” as the saying goes, according to Nakamura.
Hunters are special in that they have the “fox window” to find the paranormal, reveal and then battle the Yokai that emerge. But you’re not just trying to defeat them or collect them, you’re trying to get a contract with them to use their powers.
The game also has multiplayer, so you can team up and go Yokai-hunting together.
One to keep an eye on, that’s for sure, and Nakamura’s personality remains infectiously engaging for a game reveal.
