Remedy has announced that Control Resonant has gone gold, which means absolutely nothing in the days of digital downloads. However, they have also announced that anyone wishing to buy the physical version of the game is going to have to wait.
The digital release is still planned for September 24, but those who are purchasing the game on disc will have to wait until October 14. “We need just a little more time to deliver the physical version to you, but rest assured – nothing stays contained forever,” said Remedy on X.
This will be an interesting test of putting your money where your mouth is for those who are still bombarding every YouTube video that PlayStation upload with comments about the end of physical discs. Will they hold off purchasing the game for nearly a month, or will they buy the digital version? Sadly, we will never know.
