As if the story and themes of The Binding of Isaac weren’t punishing enough, Nicalis has announced that The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ Online will launch on 19th November for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2, going directly head to head with the launch of Grand Theft Auto 6.
Nicalis are clearly gluttons for punishment, though I’m sure there’s plenty of console gamers who will be looking for some counter programming on GTA 6 day.
The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ is an all-in-one bundle for consoles, featuring The Binding of Isaac: Rebirt and its DLC expansions, Afterbirth, Afterbirth+, Repentance and Repentance+. One of the other key inclusions is full online co-op play for up to four players.
It’s coming digitally to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2, with a physical release planned exclusively for Switch 2. It’s a first-time release for Switch 2 specifically, though the game up to Repentance (no plus) has been available on Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and other last-gen consoles since 2021.
