Gran Turismo 7 is getting another major update with GT7 Spec IV set to arrive in two stages through the end of 2027.
The first update will arrive in October, and with more details coming during the GT World Series Round 3 event in Singapore on 3rd October. The second stage will then arrive in December, heralding the 30th anniversary celebrations coming in 2027.
Two new circuits will be added to Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV with the SUGO circuit in Japan a race track with plenty of elevation changes, and the returning Autumn Ring. That’s a classic from GT games past, and while Polyphony is recreating the layout that is familiar to long-time players, there is also an expanded layout that aims to make this a broader racing circuit.
The updates will also bring 12 new cars spread across the patches, and new play modes including Online Drift Trials and Shuffle Races.
There’s also the intriguing Family Mode. This aims to make Gran Turismo 7 more friendly to families playing the game, with features that try to make it easier for children to drive and learn how to play, though still with some features for adults to enjoy.
