Auroch Digital has announced that Warhammer Survivors will launch on 10th November, the mix of Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar Bullet Heaven action launching across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 1 and 2, PC and mobile.
In keeping with the genre, the fee for entry is rather reasonable, set at £6.39 | $7.99 | €7.49 and with a 10% launch and pre-order discount available on some platforms. Oh, and Warhammer Survivors will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch.
But if you want to play now? Well there’s a new demo available for PC today from Steam and the Xbox app, featuring the Legend of Catachan and Lyssa Revenya from 40K and Age of Sigmar respectively. You’ll probably see a few other heroes, though, thanks to the way that weapons need specific heroes to wield them, and how you grow out a squad of characters.
Warhammer Survivors is a Bullet Heaven cross-over and collab, built in partnersip with poncle and using their Vampire Survivors game engine, though Auroch has sough to put their own spin on things.
There’s over 40 playable characters from 40K and AoS, including Auroch’s own creation, Malum Caedo, and then there’s over 75 weapons, ranging from Chainswords and Orbital Bombardments, through to more hobbyist jokes, like D6 dice and Nuln Oil. Each level builds up with an Extremis boss, which should provide a real challenge, though they will reward exploration and finding the right build for the job.
We’ve just published a Warhammer Survivors preview, saying, “Through it all, you do get the feeling of love for the hobby as a whole, embracing both the grimdark sci-fi and the fantasy settings, sprinkling a bit of quirky real world stuff on top, and then trying to take the Bullet Heaven template that Vampire Survivors established so brilliantly, and tailor it to the setting.”
