SEGA has announced that Football Manager 2012 will be heading exclusively to PC before Christmas. Fans will be getting more stadiums, two new camera angles, a new crowd system and upgraded visuals/animation.
In terms of actual gameplay, Scouts will be more useful by delivering reports on all aspects of an opponent’s game. Loyalty bonuses have been added to transfers and contracts, and you can lock variables in negotiations where you don’t want to negotiate further.

Crunching the numbers is all we can do….

by the way I never knew Football manager had 3D simulations of matchs? would be nice if you could go really close up to the action but this would bore me.

Was another Football Manager Handheld announced as well?
I prefer the PSP version to be honest.

You never know. It could end up on the Vita.

If it’s the PSP version then no thanks. But if they brought the full experience to the Vita, I’d send them a blank cheque.

It’d work so well as well with the touchscreen. However, as mentioned it’s highly likely it’ll be FM: Handheld rather than the full game.

Football Manager Handheld is probably my favourite game series.
Definitely my most played, I’ve bought every single PSP version.
The PC version is better in so many ways, but turning a management game into a pick up and play experience is no mean achievement. And makes it so addictive.

Why doesn’t this ever come out on ps3/xbox? Would clearly shift tons of copies.

I asked Miles Jacobson that question once (there was an old version on the Xbox…) and he said it was simply down to console controls not fitting the way the game is played. I suggested Move, he said it still didn’t feel like it worked well enough for them to pursue it but they are always looking at the issue and if they can find a way to make it feel right then there’s no other barrier to it.

We have mouse and keyboard support in consoles, but I guess that not enough people would play it that way…

Cheers for the answer! That’s nuts, I mean if Command & Conquer can work on PS3, there is no reason why this can’t. Missing a trick here I reckon. Look how well FIFA sells!

Even if they only ported the PSP version over and added trophies they’d make a killing, I reckon.

I’ve been a great fan of this series for years and purchased every release back to the CM days, but the changes they make for the annual releases seem less and less interesting each year.
The game for me has lost it’s way, too many features that are either tedious or don’t work well. I see once again they claim to have improved the media system, player feedback, training and newgens.
Add to the fact the game constantly requires 2 or 3 patches before it’s functions the way it should, means I’m done with this franchise.

Best value for money game on the planet.

ive racked up 170+ hours on FM2011 and I will no doubt rack more up on the new one. This game has a serious grip on my life…and I love it
