UPDATE: Dead or Alive 5 is Official

Team Ninja has lifted the curtain on Dead or Alive 5.

The game was unveiled at Team Ninja’s Pre Tokyo Game Show event, called Unmask.

Team Ninja has confirmed that Dead or Alive 5 will be avaliable on Xbox 360 and PS3 at some point in 2012. The PS3 announcement comes as a surprise as Dead or Alive 4 had been an Xbox 360 exclusive.

Team Ninja also demoed Ninja Gaiden 3 and confirmed Ninja Gaiden Sigma for PS Vita.

UPDATE: There’s a pre-Alpha gameplay trailer for you lot to watch!

  1. Glad they don’t have that studio head guy I can’t remember his name. So now Team Ninja games come out on both 360 and PS3.

    • That trailer looks pretty cool might check it out.

  2. But will it be a fighting a game and not a porn i mean per.. i mean oh god dammit, a crappy minigame filled game that uses sex to sell?

If it is a fighting game this time around then i may be interested in it. :)

    • What? I quite enjoyed DOA: Paradise, my favourite game is the pool hoping..so hard >.<

      • Please say you’re joking. I may not have played the game but all it looks like is interactive softcore porn. Is there actually a half decent game under all that?

  3. I love the DOA series so I’ll probably get this :)

  4. ah doa…. i still get the misses to dress up as kasumi now and then. usually when alcohol has been consumed.

    • Too much shared.. possibly..? :P

  5. I still have DoA3 on Xbox, it was awesome, so hopefully this will be too! Haven’t played 4 though, but by the comments so far I’m guessing it was too fixated on a couple other things than fighting.

  6. DOA4 had a great story and music. If they combine that with the great environments from DOA2. It would be the best beat em up ever in my opinion.

  7. The trailer looks pretty good actually. I’ll be keeping my eye on this.

  8. Glad this series is going multi-plat again. I am not very good at most fighting games but I was always decent at DOA. Don’t own a 360 so I have missed DOA.

  9. Hopefully they’ll actually take the fighting seriously. I’ve only played doa2, but past all the ridiculous boob physics there was a decent fighting game.

  10. That looks really good, actually.
I remember a Dead or Alive game on PS2 which was really good.
I think it might have been the 2nd one, I rented it and thought it was decent.
