Square Enix Confirms Gamescom Line Up

Square Enix has announced the games it will be showcasing at this year’s fast approaching gamescom event in Germany.

The full line up includes a gameplay presentation of Final Fantasy XIV and a presentation for Final Fantasy VII PC. There will also be playable demos on the show floor for Hitman: Absolution, Quantum Conundrum, Sleeping Dogs and Tomb Raider.

Square Enix will also be giving more details about Gameglobe, a venture where users will be able to create action adventure games and play any that have been created. Other games that will be presented are mobile title Final Fantasy: Dimensions, Koozac, Motley Blocks, SolaRola, Qwirkle and Mensa Academy.

Gamescom is taking place in Cologne, Germany from 15th August until 19th August.

Still no FFX HD. I guess I’ll keep my hopes up that we get some news at TGS

  I think work only started on it the beginning of this year, but it feels like quite a while. Hope it’s as good as I remember, but with added HD awesomeness!

  Something to consider, as unlikely as it may seem, is a two pack. EVERY HD remake that has been released on the PS3 has been in a collection.
  -Sly Cooper
  -God of War
  -Silent Hill
  -Jak & Daxter
  -Prince of Persia
  -Splinter Cell
  -Shadow of the Colossus/Ico
  
  Now, this is not a Sony owned company so there is a possibility that they can’t be leveraged to put out a collection of FFX and FFXII, but half of the games listed above aren’t either. Also, it’s only been announced for Sony systems, so I have hope that I’ll get both games in one pack, and that’s worth waiting for, in my opinion.

I’m interested in FFXIV 2.0 but would prefer some Versus XIII news…
I’d also like to see FFX HD. When is that coming out, SquareEnix? HUH??
