Rockstar Condensing Max Payne 3 DLC Into Three Packs

It has just been announced that Rockstar plans to mix up its DLC schedule for booze-soaked, pill popping third person shooter, Max Payne 3. Before we continue it’s worth stressing that the firm only intends on re-arranging the content, not cutting it.

Rockstar had originally planned five batches of content to support Max Payne 3 post-launch but, for some reason, the Grand Theft Auto publisher has since scaled it back to three. Both the Trickle Down Economics Map Pack and New York Minute Pack have been dissolved into the three remaining DLC drops. This is how the new schedule will shape up:

  • Disorganized Crime Pack: August [Free]
  • Hostage Negotiation Map Pack: September [800 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE) or $9.99 (PlayStation Network and PC)]
  • Painful Memories Map Pack: October [800 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE) or $9.99 (PlayStation Network and PC)]
  • Deathmatch Made In Heaven Mode Pack: October [800 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE) or $9.99 (PlayStation Network and PC)]

For those wondering, the Disorganized Crime Pack (which is listed as free above) will contain one new map (Hoboken Rooftops) as well as new mods for the game’s Arcade Mode.

The game’s first DLC pack, “Local Justice”, deployed earlier this month. We weren’t disappointed.

  1. Still haven’t bought this game…waiting on friends to get some damn money!

  2. SP was good, while the MP is good for a few laughs with a couple friends. Don’t think the maps will sell much tbh. They should of had some SP DLC in mind as that’s MP3’s strong point.

    • Actually the multiplayer is pretty damn good & relatively addictive… When it works.

It’s been better recently, but has been plagued with connection issues.

  3. Wish they’d focus on patching the most unstable mp i’ve ever played.

    • This. The single player was thoroughly enjoyable but the mulitplayer is far too unbalanced/unstable.

  4. ok idk about everyone else but i can’t read this atricle….like there is no text, it’s just black like the background…

  5. I was pretty pissed I couldn’t make the meet for this the other day, people generally don’t play it and if they do they have very high levels. Having said that is a great multilayer game and a decent game in general, so ay help towards sales will get my vote.

    • I’ll pop another one up for Monday if you are interested. I was short on friend space at the time (so zerka was good enogh to add you), but am probably gonna have a clear-out soon.
