The Walking Dead Season Two Set For Autumn This Year

I loved Telltale’s Walking Dead series, and it was one of my personal Games Of The Year for 2012. I thought the story was very well written and paced, and it had the ability to really draw you in and play with your emotions, from happiness to fear to deep sadness.

Ever since finishing Season One of Telltale’s The Walking Dead I’ve been eagerly awaiting news about the next series, and some has finally arrived.

Telltale’s CEO Dan Connors had originally told Eurogamer in an interview that the game would be releasing “fall of next year.” However, the team over at GameInformer got in contact with Telltale to ask whether that was correct. It wasn’t, as the below statement says.

“The current estimated release window for Season Two of The Walking Dead is for fall of ‘this’ year, and not ‘next’ year as has been reported after a recent interview.”

So there you have it Walking Dead fans. Season Two should be arriving in a few months. We’ll be able to continue the journey for Clementine, hopefully.

  1. I should probably get started on season 1.

  2. Can’t see it having the same magic somehow. Hopefully they prove me wrong :-)

  3. So late September onwards. Sounds good to me.

For me, it’ll also provide quite the tonic to the usual glut of Christmas blockbusters I’m used to digging into per annum.

  4. Hopefully Clemantine will have been eaten by zombies by then.

    • Somewhat restrained. He’s coming round…

  5. No word of the content that was planned to bridge the gap?

  6. Would be cool if the Vita version is out at launch, with PS3 cross-save.

  7. I am about 50% through this and I am really enjoying it so am looking forward to the second season.
