According to one source, it looks like Sony are planning to host a media event on the 15th of May for what looks like Gran Turismo 6, although potentially it could be anything.
“Join us to celebrate 15 years of Gran Turismo,” says the invite, “and discover exciting announcements about its future.”
TheSixthAxis has not seen the invite first hand, so cannot vouch for its authenticity or the details shown on it. Judge for yourselves, but it looks real enough to us.

GT is definitely the best racing sim series out there. Far better than the Forza (Bore-za) series.

Aside from being completely irrelevant, that’s entirely subjective. I’ve found Forza 3, 4 and Horizon all much more enjoyable (and exciting!) than Gran Turismo 5, although I’d also argue that GT5 isn’t really a sim racer and Forza is a little step further away from sim racing again.
Oh, and I’m super excited to see what they do with GT6 :)

GT5 was a good game, but not a great game IMO. It lacked that “fun” element. And did anyone find the B-Spec mode enjoyable at all? “Faster”, “Maintain Pace”, “Overtake”, and “WTF you doing you stupid driver, you don’t have to wait for all the drivers to pass you before going back on the track”!

I loved B Spec, I sat there tapping ‘Speed Up’ while I played on my psp! I found the rest of the game fun too, I guess your enjoyment depends on how much you decide you want to engage, I do think you have to put more in to get more out :)

“and discover exciting announcements about its future.” YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P :P :P I can’t wait(hopefully they will show what GT looks like on the PS4, OH LORD) :P + 15 years? already, it only seems like last week i got GT1 on the PS1 & was blown away by it :D I still remember using the DS1 pad for the 1st time with GT1 & it was the most amazing thing ever(at the time) thing i thought…AHH those were the days;)

Just been getting back on GT5 recently. Still a decent online community left after the hacking incident last month. Cannot beat this game in 3D with the HMZ T2 head set + Wheel :)
