New Ultra High Bitrate Killzone Shadow Fall Footage Released

Guerrilla Games have just released new footage for Killzone Shadow Fall, showing off the multiplayer in a map called The Park. The difference between  this trailer and others is that it is only lightly compressed, so not shared on video sites like Youtube due to the compression those websites apply to videos.

Instead the developer has offered a direct download to the footage, showing the game running at 1080p and targeting 60fps. Guerrilla are urging those who download the file to use either Windows Media Player or Quicktime Media Player. Players like VLC are advised against due to framerate and resolution are too high for it to run properly.

The footage can be downloaded from here.

  1. Just watched it…AWESOME!! Best looking next game game by far!

  2. Mmmmmm, so smooth. Had to move away from the screen though, the FOV is far too narrow.

    • I agree. For me though it will have something to do with my monitor, but soon enough it’ll be on my own 46 inch and PS4

  3. Woooh, that’s super crisp, almost too crisp if that’s possible. It looks very good, very good indeed.

  4. killzone.com is knackered from the traffic demands – no fair I want it!

  5. Wow, incredible detail yet so smooth. Looks like AA has been turned off along with the cinematic effects to accommodate the doubling of framerate. At least at 1080p Jaggies are less of an issue.

  6. Got it now, yep looks pretty darn sweet, dare I say it looks both true to the legacy of KZ2 / KZ3 multiplayer, and looks like it has upped the pace just the touch it needed… these 3.5 weeks can’t go quick enough :-)

  7. Looks stunning and almost like it’s in fast forward at the beginning. I’m not getting any sound though.

    Bring on launch!

  8. This looks so close to amazing! Am I the only person that thought the running at the start looked a bit off? I felt that the player did not look at though he was in contact with the ground, there was an element of skating.

Other than the above point though it looked beautiful and so much better than the ones I have played before. I am really looking forward to it.

    • Yeah, like he was moving faster than his movement suggested.

  9. Sweet as my meat!
