GAME Store Tweets It Will Have 500 Xbox Ones Available For Launch Day

With the next gen launch happening this month the chance to order one for launch day are pretty much gone. Unless you happen to live in or near Birmingham, or fancy taking a road trip. A new GAME store is opening in the Pavilions shopping centre this week and has tweeted that it will have 500 Xbox Ones to pre-order for launch, and some PS4s, though the number of PS4s is unknown.

The store has tweeted that you have to pay a £20 deposit to secure a console for launch day from the store, and this process will begin on Thursday when it opens. So if you fancy a next gen machine it might be wise to go there if you can. It’s definitely a bigger figure than expected for a store to have this close to launch.

  1. A great chance for somebody who missed the pre-order deadline to grab a last minute Nextbox or PS4 if they live in or near Birmingham. Although I’d assume that most people would already have their pre-order booked ages ago for their console of choice.

  2. Loads of unsold Xbox stock, and they might be able to lay their hands on some PS4 duplicated pre-orders.

    • Haha you crack me up Darklord but you’re probably right. I don’t know a single person buying an X1 and most of my mates were 360 last gen.

    • Hunter gatherer coming out with more silly anti Microsoft pro Sony rubbish. Do you think the Xbox one launch will have loads of Microsoft employees bussed in to make the launch look busier like you claimed with the 360?

    • Why have you got a new account? And well, according to you in the midst of the MP3 waffle you quite willingly gave up your PS4 pre-order.

  3. That’s gonna be a long queue on launch night. Be useful to know what the smaller stores allocation is so I know how long I’ll be waiting in the cold next week.

  4. And who is interested in an Xbone..?
Don’t know a single person who would buy one, somehow they don’t show up for me in PSN… ;o)

    • I’m getting one :P Both consoles will be fine and this fanboy nonsense will hopefully die down a bit after launch

      • No chance, once people have it in their hands they’ll have more to shout about each other about.

I’m getting and Xbox One at launch as from what I’ve seen so far I prefer the system. I’ll be getting both but before I get a PS4 I’m going to get a decent PC for many reasons including gaming.

Being a fanboy is just ridiculous.

      • Are there any fanboys around here..? I can’t see any…
        And there’s definitely none on PSN… ;o)
