Telltale’s The Walking Dead series is a very good gaming franchise, and one that I am a fan of. I haven’t yet had a chance to sit down and play Season Two but it’s on my list. The game is currently available on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, iOS and Android, and if a listing on GameStop is to be believed then it will be making the cross generation jump to PS4 and Xbox One. This GOTY edition, if a correct listing, appears to contain just the first season and 400 Days, with no mention of the second series in the product description.
The release date is listed for June 17th 2014, and is priced at $29.99. As I said I’m a fan but how much of a difference could there be between these new versions and the older versions, that are available much cheaper. If Telltale are considering this release then I feel that it would be better until Season Two was done and then releasing a complete package.
We’ve contacted Telltale for comment about this listing, and to see if the studio can confirm if this is happening, and whether a release would have Season Two included too.

I’d much rather have the ability to take my save from PS3 to PS4 rather then playing season 1 and 2 again.

It would be helpful if they instigated some sort of cloud saving to allow cross device play. I played the original series on my iPad, I’d love the option to move across to my consoles to continue into series 2 without having to replay everything.

Are there any PS4 games coming to the PS4? :(
Pitcher-T
I know what you mean. I understood the HD collections for the ps3, because those games had been out for a while. These PS4 games are only versions of games that are a couple of years old at most.

Here here!

I will dance a merry dance when I see Diablo 3 for PS4 dated.
Also, I was reading on a Google archive version of a games website that some games called DriveClub and WatchDogs will be out as PS4 release titles.

Well ive played on ps3 and ps vita…. But it is another easy platinum…
Youles
There had better be a cross-save feature. Also a cross-buy option wouldn’t go a miss. PS4 is becoming an indie, and recycled-PS3-games console!
Lyts1985
I’d happily play it again from the start just to see the results of making different choices, but my biggest request is that they try and squish some of the bugs and glitches prior to release…
I agree with your closing sentence though. It’s starting to get on my wick!
Youles
Yeah, I guess it’s cos I’ve played it on PS3 and Vita (one nice playthrough, one as being a total dick), so a 3rd playthrough would be stretching it a little. I hope for cross-save as I may buy the next instalment on PS4 (if it releases).

WHY IS EVERYONE TALKING IN ITALICS?

I’m guessing somebody forgot to close the italics tag at the end of the article..

The walking dead is so full of bugs that just mentioning it by name caused the article to glitch. That’s my theory anyway :D

I really want to play this, but thinking for me it would be better suited on vita. May wait and see if the PS4 version is cross buy, really there should be one price for all three SONY platforms but doubt that will happen.
Crazy_Del
Never bought this as I was hoping it will be free on PS Plus….
I might be tempted to get it for PS4 same as Beyond Two Souls as I have never played both of these games and were waiting for a price drop.
Lyts1985
The PS4 gen is starting to grate on me already… Every other game announcement is a “remaster” of a previous gen game (with the games in between being small indie games). Like someone said above, I could completely understand it from PS2 –> PS3 but find the whole PS3 –> PS4 upgrade pointless. Give us some new games already :-(
Nocure-fd
Yeah. Publishers know there is a drought of new generation games. So they’re happily selling the old games again (for more than the original asking price!) because owners of the new hardware don’t really have much choice but to buy them (again) if they want to get some use out of their toys.
And we were told people didn’t WANT backwards compatibility, even though that’s exactly what we seem to be getting.
Glad I decided to wait before going next gen!
Still. Six weeks ’till E3, maybe then things will start looking a little rosier.
Gaztee
I get the feeling that these remasters are aimed at new ps owners who went 360 last gen? Can’t really see much point otherwise.
JR.
I think the walking dead is available on more platforms and had more re-releases than Resi 4 at this point.
bigchrissyc
I never actually played this on ps3, so i would like to give this a go, if it does come to the PS4.
