If you want a reason to get excited about new exclusives on the Xbox One, Sunset Overdrive appears to be what you’re looking for. The new series from Insomniac was shown again at this year’s Microsoft E3 conference, a year after it debuted at their 2013 event with Ted Price, Insomniac’s founder and CEO, taking to the stage to show off some gameplay.
The title seems to borrow equally gameplay elements from inFamous, ridiculous weaponry from Insomniac’s own Ratchet & Clank and tone from Tony Hawk, mixing them together to form something that looks truly unique, and like a lot of fun.
Beyond showing off more gameplay and a new trailer setting up more of the game’s world, Price also discussed the game’s focus on character customisation, which will allow players to “Be who you want to be”, and announced the game’s launch date of October 28th.
He also mentioned the game’s multiplayer, coming in form of the co-operative Chaos Squad mode. This will allow you to team up with up to eight of your friends to save Sunset City, although it does seem to sit apart from the game’s central story mode.

Read quite hyped up articles, so was interested to see what this is about. Oops, that one’s not for me, can stay on the Xbone, found this pretty rubbish, which of course, is my entirely subjective opinion.
But, Microsoft overall seemed to have made a comeback yesterday, as much as I’ve seen Spencer brought them back on course. Good for the competition, and for Xbox fans.
