Nintendo has announced the next mode that will be available to Splatoon players on July 2nd in Europe, and tomorrow at 7PM PT in North America for Ranked matches. The mode is called Tower Control and seems to be a spin on protect the flag style of games, where someone has to jump on the tower platform and get it to the opponent’s base while other team mates protect them. If the tower doesn’t reach the either side then the team that that has pushed it closest to the opposition wins.
Tower Control mode was one of the pieces that was leaked a little while back, so any other information that came of that will likely be legitimate too. You’ll be able to see Tower Control live in action later today in a Nintendo Treehouse broadcast, set to begin at 3PM PT, which is 11PM BST.
