Cities: Skylines After Dark Expansion Is Out On September 24th

The first expansion to Cities: Skylines, Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order’s popular city builder, is on the way at the end of next month, plunging your cities into darkness and in After Dark on September 24th.

Some aspects to the new gameplay will be made available for free in a patch, in particular the day-night cycle itself, but it will largely be cosmetic, with the actual gameplay changes only for those who buy the expansion. Things like having a different budget for day and night, having to deal with higher crimerates at night and building prisons to hold offenders and more.

You can read more about the expansion in our preview from Gamescom, which went live yesterday, but this expansion is set to cost $14.99, and equivalent prices in other regions, or half the RRP of the main game.

  1. Sounds like a must have, a real gamechanger! Just what I need to get back into it.
