Call of Duty: Black Ops III is this weeks rather obvious chart topper but compared to week one sales of previous CoD titles the game has faired rather poorly, coming in at 7th place. However, most of the previous titles launched on a Tuesday rather than the Friday, which is when Blops III hit the shelves. The shift to the new consoles is remarable, 91% of sales were on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, compared to 68% of sales for last years Call of Duty.
The week’s other big release, Need For Speed, grabs third place, held off by another EA title, the evergreen FIFA 16. The rest of the top ten jiggle about a bit but the elderly Watch Dogs is climbing back up the charts thanks to promotions. Guitar Hero is doing quite well but Rock Band has vanished from the list.

Wait, BLOPS 3 was released? How odd as Activision usually does a massive song and dance with doritos and Mountain Dew as refreshments whenever it is released.

The launch party was very small and quiet, nothing like the 2000+ people with live bands like Example which brought in Modern Warfare 3. Activision don’t really need to advertise it anymore, it juts sells.

5 different disks of the game I’ve had none of them even get past halfway installing the multiplayer before it quits back to the ps screen saying it cannot continue with the application and I can’t get a refund because I’ve opened it. Every other game I’ve got works fine I even bought a blu Ray cleaner it still does nothing looks like I’m going to have to take a loss and sell it. Anyone else had this or heard of it
