Price Increase Incoming For Dying Light’s Season Pass & The Following Expansion

Techland has confirmed that it will be raising the price of Dying Light’s Season Pass as well as The Following expansion, with the reason being given that the content that is being offered is much bigger than originally planned. However, this price increase will not be going active until December 8th so if you’re interested in the content now is the time to invest. The price of the Season Pass will change to $29,99 while The Following, which is part of the pass, will be $19.99 standalone.

Due to the increased scale of the project, we needed to revise the pricing that we announced back in August, and so we want to let you know that Dying Light: The Following will be priced at $19,99.
As promised back in August, our expansion will still be free for all Dying Light Season Pass holders.

However since the Season Pass will now include this bigger-than-anticipated addition, we needed to adjust the price accordingly.Starting December 8th 2015, the Season Pass will be sold at $29,99. We didn’t want this to come as a surprise to you, so we’re announcing it in advance. This price change will not affect players who already own the Season Pass.

Techland has also announced that it will be releasing more information about The Following soon.

  1. Nice touch announcing it in advance. Finally a company with a reasonable dlc strategy.

  2. So far the Season Pass has been pretty shit value though to be honest, I horde mode and free-running challenge mode (in a free-running game) – standard stuff really, and that other games include already. Anyway, given the size of this expansion it’s now looks like the season pass will be rather good value.

    • So yea or nae to pick this up? I’ve stopped playing it but sorely tempted to get back into it soon actually.

      • For £15.99 I would say pick up the season pass – by the sound of things the expansion is going to be huge – they said it could have been stand-alone and the price going up suggests it’s big. Also the addition of vehicles and new missions, weapons and even skill-trees.

The Bovac Horde mode is good, but can be tough (and frustrating – you can play for 30+ mins, fail, then have to restart). The parkour time trial challenges are not that interesting imo. The other smaller things included are some outfits and a couple of extra missions (which are just carbon copies of existing areas that you have to clear) but with the Following DLC due, £15.99 seems pretty reasonable value though!

      • Ok, think I’ll grab it then. Might sit in the backlog for a while though.

Still got the Batman DLC (plus that irritating 15 hit combo that is elluding me). Fallout 4. And GOW3. Too many games!
