Bigben Interactive To Release Game Based On The Isle Of Man TT Races

Do you like racing? Do you like men? No, wait… that’s wrong… Do you like islands? Yes? Then Bigben Interactive have some exciting news as they have teamed up with the Isle of Man Government Department of Economic Development to bring us the official video game of the motorbike race, named TT Isle Of Man – Ride on the Edge.

French developers Kylotonn Games, who have previously worked on the well received WRC 5, will be handling the coding of the full 37¾ mile TT course.

“For several years now, our team works together with Kylotonn’s developers to create and offer the best depictions of some of the most spectacular racing events like the Isle of Man TT races or the World Rally Championship.”, says Benoît Clerc, Head of Software at Bigben Interactive. “By creating 1/1 the iconic 37¾ miles of the race, we already know that all the motorbike fans will feel the speed and the excitement of being part of the Isle of Man TT races”

TT Isle Of Man – Ride on the Edge, which will be released in 2017, will feature many of the leading teams and riders who will be recreated digitally to accurately represent their team liveries and bike manufacturers. The game will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

  1. Hmm, could be interesting.. Hopefully they can do a decent recreation of bike handling as well.

  2. They need to put a Jeremy Clarkson mode in it.

    The mode would consist of:

    – Saying WHAT!? in many different ways.
    – Moaning about having to ride a bike.
    – Falling off the bike
-Going at a very slow pace
    -Swearing a lot
    – Punching the producer in the face
    – Saying that it was all a waste of time an a car would be better.

What? I wanted to make that joke.

I can’t recall the last time we had a bike racing game that was just a bike racing game and not a racing game that had bikes in it.

I naturally feel that Tuffcub should be the one to review it just for all the hidden smutty puns that it has potential for.

    What?

The S in TSA stands for Smut.

  3. How many crashes are you allowed before you get killed?

  4. Excited for this, mostly because it’s home turf for me and I want to see how well they replicate the course and it’s surroundings. Not often you can load up a game and expect to see your Secondary School in shiny HD graphic form.

Really enjoyed the version they created for the PS2 also, and good to hear they’ve gone with a dev with some racing game pedigree.

  5. Was interested until I saw the developer. This did the absolutely shite Motorcycle Club. Really it was easily the worst motorbike game I’ve played.

    • That’s my main concern too. If the rumours are to be believed, Polyphony sent some people to scout the area awhile ago now. Wonder what that could be for…

  6. I have no interest in motorbikes, but still love the IoM TT each year. This is certainly one to keep an eye on…
