If you’ve played Overwatch, you’d know that each character has their own unique abilities to help you win your fight against other players. However, Törbjorn is one character that has made opposing players extremely frustrated as they get destroyed by auto-aim turrets on the console version of the game. However, a decision has been made by game director, Jeff Kaplan as he responded to a thread dedicated to the 100% auto-aim turrets.
Kaplan assured players that the problems are being resolved with the following comment:
“In an upcoming patch, we will reduce the damage done by Torbjörn’s turret by 30% on Xbox One and PS4. PC will remain unchanged.”
“On PC, it’s not as big an issue because everyone is more accurate due to mouse controls.”
With games that offer a selection of characters and abilities, it seems only natural for perks and abilities to be nerfed depending on what character attributes are being abused by fellow gamers – Destiny is also another game that suffers the same fate. There’s hope that Overwatch will change things up for the better and offer a more balanced roster of characters to play competitively with or against.
The expected date of the patch’s deployment is expected to be sometime between mid July to August.

Yep, it was like Snow White and the five dwarfs when I played a game the other day. Those turrets are easily defeatable if there’s only one of them, but five well placed turrets and the defense will be unbreakable. Whether 30% is enough remains to be seen, but it’s a wise move. Everything else seems reasonably balanced, although I’ve yet to see Bastion exploited to buggery.

Ahh. Turrets. Sorry, I spent the weekend taking advantage of that free PS4 multiplayer weekend, Killing some Zones. I like making turrets.
Although the best part was when some novice Insurgent player hacked my friendly-territory spawn beacon and enabled me to do some guilt-free spawn-camping.
