As if the announcement of Fire Emblem Echoes wasn’t enough, we’re also seeing a brand new game for the Nintendo Switch as well. This would mark the first time the series has appeared on a console since Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn back in 2008 for the Nintendo Wii.
Of course, due to the nature of the Nintendo Switch, this is kind of cheating as it can also be considered a new handheld title too. Still, it would most certainly fit on the console and is definitely something for Switch adopters to look forward to.
Aside from this however, no details were given on the story, setting (except that a full-scale war is mounting), or even the official name of the game. It’s still miles away though, due to drop in 2018, but a little bit of information would have been nice!

A brief but enjoyable Ninty Direct last night. A proper Fire Emblem game on Switch is obviously a big deal and great news. I have to admit the mobile game looks fun too!
