Sega have announced that the 2D retro-tastic Sonic Mania has been delayed from this Spring until the Summer. No reason was given, presumably it needs a little more time in the oven till it is super crispy and yummy. To cheer everyone up they have released a new trailer which shows the return of the Flying Battery Zone.
We also have news of the mysterious Project Sonic 2017 which now has the official title of Sonic Forces. This game is a more modern take on Sonic and has him running through 3D landscapes whilst being attacked by Death Egg Robot sentinels. Both games are coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.

It reminds to be seen if that’s all the game play with classic Sonic in the trailer men’s that only half the game play aspect.
Generations wasn’t a bad game at all so the look of a new story with original levels in both 3D as well as 2D could be fun. Least it will be for is Sonic fans.
Mania however is looking like a good classic game that we’ve waited 20 years for. And for a lot of people, it’s what we want.
