A tweeter has posted a picture allegedly captured in Best Buy in Canada which lists the Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy as exclusive to PlayStation 4, but only for one year. Rumours that the game may come to other consoles have been circulating since launch as Activision, who bought Crash from Sony, don’t do console exclusives.

Sony do own publishing rights to the first three games, but the new title is not a remaster, it has been built from the ground up and doesn’t contain any code from the original games. It looks like Sony may have struck a deal with Activision in which they could base this new title on the old games, and get the exclusivity deal as a result.
Sony and Activision have yet to comment on the picture. There is also the possibility someone faked the image.

If someone’s faked this just to amuse themselves, they have way too much spare time on their hands.

If it is because of an agreement to avoid having to fight for the rights or neither party wanted to spend their resources on getting the rights to the original/defending the rights etc..
However, if it’s the usual reason of “Shut up. We have the cash. Sod the gamers!” then sod them! Timed stuff is BS!

Well, at least it isn’t Tomb Raider.
Yes… I’m taking that one to the grave :D
As much as I do like Crash Bandicoot, I played enough of it in Uncharted 4 to know that I’m in no rush to play a whole collection of it. Spyro on the other hand…

If true it would be very embarrassing for sony!
