Following the recent Doomfist update, Overwatch is preparing to chuck another map into the current rotation. Junkertown is, as one might expect, a claptrap shanty built from spare parts and debris, presumably somewhere in the remote Australian outback. We can also assume that this is where the grenade-loving Junkrat comes from or is at least somewhere he and his partner in crime, Roadhog, used to inhabit.
There’s definitely a Mad Max vibe at work here, the people of Junkertown still affected by the near-apocalyptic events of the Omnic Crisis. Again, it demonstrates just how diverse the Overwatch maps can be. It also gives us an excuse to add this to our personalised in-game soundtrack.

There’s no date on Junkertown just yet though it will no doubt crop up on the PTR soon.
