When Shahid Kamal Ahmad was head of Sony Strategic Content, he was a beacon for indie developers trying to find a place for their game and practically the face of PlayStation Vita support. Yet there was a yearning desire to get back to coding and creating games, and so he left Sony two years ago to start working on his own games once more.
Now he’s announced his next project, Chimera Zero, a VR game heading to PlayStation VR, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Nothing more is known, but you can expect to hear details of this game in the coming weeks.

The only things Chimera Zero has in common with the 1985 original are the name, robots and an unashamedly sci-fi setting.

I’ll tell you more about this project in the coming weeks. The demo has been played in working form by about a dozen people.

“robots and unashamedly sci fi” , sounds promising.
