With the reports that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is coming to PlayStation 4 in December, it seems as though Microsoft are trying to strike a preemptive blow by hosting a free game weekend, to try and sway people to dip a toe in and get the game on their platform.
Thanks to some confusing wording, it’s lead some people to believe that this is a giveaway of the game. It’s not. This is a ‘Free Play Days For All’ promotion by Xbox in the run up to the XO18 showcase this weekend. During this, you can play both games as much as you want and don’t even need a Gold membership to take them online.
Free Play Days For All runs 8 to 11 November. ALL Xbox Live members get free access to play PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS and PES 2019 for a limited time + Xbox Live members without a Gold membership can play online for free during the event https://t.co/ME8GgzSxiB pic.twitter.com/qCm6Y14dwB
