Project Oxygen announced by new studio Far From Home for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC

A new studio has announced its presence today and that studio is called Far From Home, and it is based in Poland. The team of Far From Home consists of developers that have worked on games such as Dying Light, Dying Light 2, Dead Island, The Medium, Chernobylite and Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2. So, it could be worth paying attention to the studio’s debut game which is currently going by the name Project Oxygen. Project Oxygen has been confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

There is not too much known about Project Oxygen, but Far From Home did reveal some details:

Players will embody a lone scientist, exploring an ecologically ruined and evolved Earth after humanity failed to fight off their own demise. To allow for deeper immersion in this unique world, the game will be set in a first-person perspective and built around a strong survival game loop that will require players to regularly venture deep into the dangerous unknown.

Exploration, survival, and success will be strongly tied to each player’s technologically advanced zeppelin airbase that they will be able to pilot, upgrade, and customize. This zeppelin will be the player’s main lifeline and refuge against the inhospitable world raging below and around them. A mobile airbase that will act as their everything – transport, life support, storage, research laboratory, shelter, and escape.

Project Oxygen will begin life as a single player game but a co-op feature will be added eventually. As the studio is new it will be some time before Project Oxygen is ready to be released, but if you are survival game fan then Project Oxygen could be worth keeping an eye out for.
