Moving Out’s totally tropical Movers in Paradise DLC out now

The first paid DLC for Moving Out is out now, with Movers in Paradise adding large bundle of new game content, new gameplay mechanics and more characters to the game. The premium expansion is priced at £5.99/$7.49/ €7.49 and is now available to purchase across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are supported via backward compatibility).

The couch co-op removals shenanigans of Moving Out are branching out to a new environment in Movers in Paradise. The Furniture Arrangement and Relocations Technicians (F.A.R.Ts) will have to work their way through 14 new levels and 10 new arcade levels, often overcoming quirky environmental challenges as they do so. There will be ancient ruins filled with priceless gems, shipwrecks teeming with treasure, and ziplines to “help” speed up the moving process. Four new movers will be available to play as: Tooki the toucan, Coco the coconut, Clawdius the crab, and Gilly the fish join the original set of F.A.R.Ts.

You can play solo, but the game is fully intended to play in up to four player co-op, and it’s also been built from the ground up to be accessible to as broad a range of players as possible. Assists let you extend time limits, skip levels and remove dangers, while accessibility options provide a dyslexia-friendly font, scalable user interface, and remappable keyboard controls on Steam.

This was one area that Ade praised when the game launched in April 2020. Our Moving Out review concluded:

Moving Out performs a seemingly impossible balancing act. It’s both a challenging couch co-op physics puzzler, and yet it’s completely accessible to everyone sat on that couch, regardless of their video game experience. Moving Out is fun, it’s frivolous, it’s joyful and it will have you laughing from beginning to end. Who could ask for more?
