GAME’s British Academy Video Games Awards are being held on the 19th of March, and with that in mind we now have the entire list of nominations.
No real surprises here with the big names, such as Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2, in the majority of categories but it’s nice to see the fun PSN title PixelJunk Shooter appearing in both Gameplay and Original Score.
Flower, another one of PSN’s top games, also features in Artistic Achievement and Use Of Audio so let’s hope thatgamecompany get some well deserved recognition. Its style of music and glorious appearance are what places it so high up in the PSN’s charts and the awards should reflect this.
It’s interesting to note that only four Xbox exclusive games feature compared with the ten PS3 exclusives. Sony did say 2009 would be the year of the PS3, but when have they not said something like that?
The Wii had to appear somewhere and of course it would be in Family & Social and Sports but with titles like Buzz, EyePet and Forza also in those categories, Nintendo face some tough competition.
