valkyrie elysium release date

Square Enix has confirmed a Valkyrie Elysium release date for PS4, PS5, and PC. The long dormant JRPG series will arrive on PlayStation consoles first on September 29, 2022, followed by a Steam launch on November 11th.

Digital deluxe versions have also been revealed, offering a handful of bonuses on all available platforms. Fans will also be happy to hear that there will be a physical Valkyrie Elysium release, at least on PS4 and PS5.

On top of that, Square Enix announced that a port of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth will also be coming to PlayStation platforms in September.

SQUARE ENIX have also offered pre-order bonuses for each platform, as follows:

The Valkyrie series has bounced around a fair bit over the years, never really settling on a particular platform. The original game, Valkyrie Profile, launched for PlayStation in 1999, while the sequel Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria emerged in 2006 for PlayStation 2. After that, Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume shifted over to the Nintendo DS in 2008, and the series was warmed up for an iOS/Android game in 2016 with Valkyrie Anatomia: The Origin.

Square Enix has continued to pump out JRPG goodness over the past few years, remastering a slew of its more obscure titles. In 2022, it has plenty of games in the pipeline including Live A Live, Harvestella, Star Ocean: The Divine Force, The Diofield Chronicle, and Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis.
