Deep Dish Dungeon brings foodie dungeon crawling to Xbox, PC & Game Pass this autumn

Behold Studios and publisher Raw Fury have announced that their dungeon crawler, Deep Dish Dungeon will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, PC and Game Pass on day one this autumn, putting a culinary spin on the genre.

Deep Dish Dungeon will see you explore an underground maze, either solo or in a group of up to three. As you go, you’ll have to forage and scavenge for food to keep your tummies full, starting off with simply roasting some apples or mushrooms, going through making hearty stews, and building up to cooking the most powerful meal in the game: the deep dish pizza.

This is a hand-crafted dungeon, as opposed to a generated roguelite-y one, and Behold Studio has filled it with many secrets. There’s puzzles, there’s enemies to fight, and there’s lots of symbols and strange things to find and figure out what they mean, gradually unravelling some mystery at the heart of the place.

It’s all rendered in a pretty nice mid-to-late 90s 3D style, with chunky polygonal characters, simplistic animations, and blotchy texture work.

The game is all-in on the Xbox and PC ecosystem, so in addition to launching on those platforms and Game Pass, it will support Xbox Play Anywhere and, as is to be expected, it will be Xbox handheld certified.
