The FIFA World Cup 2026 is about to kick off and Sports Interactive are getting in on the action by adding International Management to the game. A free update has been released today for Football Manager 26 on PC and console, Football Manager 26 Touch and Football Manager 26 mobile.

This is an officially licensed deal with official broadcast graphics, team kits and branding. There are also new tools and upgrades to the game to help you steer your team to glory, as well as save game compatibility with FM23 and FM24 careers. You will also find women’s national team management for the first time, a Quick Start option, reworked squad registration, and set pieces coaches.

However, due to delays and licensing issues, some International kits may not be accurately represented. Some may be added at a later date.

“Football Manager 26 is the first step of a new era, and as we’re seeing with some of the biggest clubs in the country, any new era comes with the challenge of rebuilding and both setting and meeting expectations,” said Aran in our 6/10 review.

“Football Manager 26 can get better with updates, but I doubt that this entry will be the one to make the most of the switch to the new engine, overhauled UI and new features. It might take one or two more years for this rebuild to really meet its potential.”
