It’s all go go go! Following the news of a PC patch to sort out some of the bug issues, Bethesda has confirmed that an Xbox 360 and PS3 patch is now live. The Xbox version has been available for a couple of days (apologies, we missed that one) and the PS3 version has gone live overnight in Europe and North America. In addition, a second PC patch has been released to “address the autosave and quicksave issues that some people were encountering.”

I bought this last night and when i put the disc in it wanted to install a patch, so i presume this is the same patch? but loving the game so far!

I started playing on Sunday and there was patch version 1.01 already available. What patch version did you install?

If this new patch was definitely last night, then it should be different. I installed the game last Friday (wasn’t planning on buying it but I utterly buckled) and 1.01 was installed then as well so I presume that was some small initial release fix for something else. That said, I’ve not hit any glitches at all and I’m about 10 hours in.

i downloaded a 19mb patch like 2 days ago, and if anything its even buggier now. freezes for like a second almost every 2 minutes.

I have to say, i received my copy of the game the day before it came out and i’ve not really experienced many problems so far. I got stuck in a rock at one point, but thats pretty much it..

I know someone who, eight hours in, got glitched into an area he wasnt meant to be able to reach, and then the game autosaved leaving him trapped there. Rather than start again I think he got rid of the game :op

One thing i did notice was that some of the music from Oblivion is used in the game. I would of thought that they would of used all new material..

so he wasnt sensible and actually have a save file for the game and relied entirely upon auto save, thats a bit of a dumb idea even on games that supposedly have no bugs

As far as I’m aware this is the same patch that was available on Friday for EU, it’s just that it was only released for the US today. Correct me if I’m wrong. If it is the same patch, the game is still buggy but worth it :-)

I am having an issue where my companions have just disappeared, however other game characters seem to acknowledge them e.g. saying things like ‘I didn’t know robot dogs existed anymore’, despite the fact my robo dog has disappeared.
Any ideas if this is common???

If it’s the cyberdog, try go back to freeside and find him near the Kings.

Yeah, it happens with some companions in certain buildings. I noticed Cass wasn’t following me when I left the kings, once you go in the place where you left them they should run up to you though.

What’s wierd is the fact I go around and they says like ‘Hey, isn’t that the kings dog?’, despite the fact I can’t see my companion.

Got the 1.01 patch the other day on the PS3 and haven’t been prompted to download another one…therefore I’m guessing Bethesda were a little slow in announcing the patch.
To be honest I haven’t encountered many bugs at all. Only about 3 freezes over a period of ~40 hours. Haven’t come across any game-breaking bugs so I guess I’m one of the lucky ones…
