Over at the PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog has posted a video interview with Justin Richmond and Amy Henning, taken from their exclusive screening event which followed this year’s Spike VGAs. There is little in the way of new information here, though it will be assuring for fans to hear that the team are slaving away, refining their already brilliant character animation techniques and making sure that UC3’s multiplayer will stand firm among the industry’s hottest contenders.
In other Uncharted 3 news, Eurogamer Italy has posted new gameplay footage from the demo version available to the press earlier this month. Again, nothing completely new though the game is looking fantastic, especially the improved melee system.

This is looking great. Naughty Dog talked about the pressure from the success of Uncharted 2 but to me it doesn’t seem to be showing. Theres a lot graphically going in in these clips… Looking forward to this bad boy.

Absolutely with you on this one. See how the fire progressed? It looked lovely then the camera turns to reveal the waves and ripples of fire climbing the walls. Mesmerising!
Equally, the natural dialogue and banter is evident. “Is this an inner-ear thing?”. Awesome. Just awesome.

Ok, so when do we see some real-time footage? Oh… wait… WAS THAT REAL TIME!??!?! I kept thinking it was a FMV… and it was playable?! Man, I thought it was a cutscene.

I do hope, however, that we can shoot crouched like in Drake’s Fortune, because I’m not absolutely confident that this game will be perfect. It’ll just be near perfect, if they don’t fix that and a couple of visual glitches.

That’s my favourite Naughty Dog game as it happens! From an enjoyment P.O.V. of course. These days it’s obviously technically inferior.
I’m reasonably excited about U3 as I loved Drakes Fortune but found Among Thieves a big let down. I’m sure it’ll be an emphatic critical and commercial success but as for me personally? … I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed.

This looks fantastic as you’re saying, even better than the Jimmy Fallon gameplay in my opinion. Really exctited about this, here’s hoping we’ll get to see some spicy desert gameplay not too soon!
